It's a kind of magic [RL with Hayate and Tsubomi]

A little tap with the Keyblade, and Aqua opened the door to Hayate's home.

"Heard you weren't feeling well," she said. "I brought something that might cheer you up."

"...you don't have things like that where you're from?" Tsubomi asked, honestly confused by Aqua's confusion.

"Thanks," Aqua answered, following Hayate's directions.

"Well, we rely more on magic at home. There's not a whole lot of technology, though we do learn what we can to get by on other worlds."

"That's pretty interesting," said Hayate, setting the pot on the burner and then moving to fish a chopping board out of the things. It was clear that everything was set up for a little girl at chair-level, since there was nothing up top in the higher cupboards. "It certainly leaves room for learning new things."

"Wow... it certainly does." Tsubomi said, nodding. That would be interesting, using magic for other things...

...she quickly shoved that aside. She'd try something like that, Chypre would take away her Tact.

"Of course, Master Eraqus insists on us learning how to do things by hand," Aqua insisted. "And Terra hardly uses magic anyway. I was just the one who really took to it."

"It honestly sounds like a lot of fun though, being able to use magic to do things." said Hayate with a light smile. "Is it a lot of fun to cast magic?"

"Well... I can't really say on that." Tsubomi said, trying not to say that she was a Precure. How she didn't tell Hayate was anyone's guess.

"...There might be a way for you both to find out," Aqua suggested. "If the bond between friends is strong, I might be able to work something out..."

Ask her before she gets more lost in thought?

"You have a way of doing so?" inquired Hayate curiously as she looked up from her work. What kind of neat thing could Aqua do?

"A bond between friends? Such as?" Tsubomi asked, curious herself.

She held up her Wayfinder. "This charm has some magic on it that links me to my friends. When one of us is in trouble, we can borrow some of the powers of each other for a little bit. Like if I needed Terra's strength or Ven's speed. I should be able to link you to it."

"Oh that's an incredible item!" exclaimed Hayate. "Will it work for us?"

"I-It has to be... shouldn't it?" Tsubomi said, looking excited about the idea of doing so.

"I think so," Aqua insisted. "The bonds we make give us strength."

"How soon could you do this?" inquired Hayate.

"Can't be too long, but... we don't wanna rush her..." Tsubomi added, realizing they don't want to push much.

"It's actually easy," Aqua said, as the Wayfinder began to shine. "Once we became friends, we formed an unbreakable connection."

"Woooowwwwww," gasped Hayate, grinning widely. "That's incredible! And really simple to boot."

"Mmn, it really is... I'd figured it would take awhile..." Tsubomi added, impressed by it.

"I wanted to be sure that it would be simple to set up, since my friends and I weren't always going to end up on the same worlds." She tried not to feel sad at the last meeting with Terra and Ven and how disastrous it had ended.

"Oh that would be a good point then," said Hayate as she continued to work on her own tasks. "I'm glad you're thinking about them. How does this work by the way?"

"Oh..." Tsubomi was caught off guard a little about the talk of friends. The possibility of being separated didn't sit well with Tsubomi, especially with her trying to situate herself still.

"I used some magic on the good luck charms I made for everybody before our exams," Aqua explained. "Since then, the magic's spread out beyond the connections we had to each other."

Then, seeing how uncomfortable Tsubomi was, she added, "It's nothing bad! It's just, when I passed my exam, I knew I would probably be sent to other worlds. Terra's still working on passing, and Ven's too young to take the exam. Ven would be staying home, and Terra and I might be going in different directions, since he still has to pass."

"Like everyone's connected, despite your different paths," said Hayate with a nod. "I like it."

"Oh! I see now... I guess that makes sense." Tsubomi said. She smiled sheepishly, however. "S-Sorry, just... I'm not used to having all of these bonds yet. Especially since I had just moved from another town just a few months prior..."
