RL with Hibiki and Kanade

Aqua's discreetly glider emerged in Kanon Town, and she dispelled her armor and adjusted her grip on the basket of food she'd brought from Olympus.

"I hope I'm not too far away," she murmured, checking the food. "I don't want any of this to get cold."

Likewise, Hibiki was nearby, looking to see if Kanade had gotten her message. She was still, well, arguing with her but hey, no worries right? Food was at stake here.

[And indeed, here comes Kanade.]

I'm here, Hibiki! Sorry, were you waiting long?

Nope, you're right on time! I'm just waiting for Aqua to arrive.

[Hibiki rubbed her hands together gleefully.] Real authentic Greek Food from another world! Ah this is going to be so delicious!

Aqua? Authentic Greek...? [She scowls.] Hibiki, you brought me out here to eat food from another world? I mean, I could use the break, but...!

But it's from a real Greek Time period, Kanade! Remember how good it was when we first tasted it? We don't have a place here in Kanon Town for Greek food!

[Yeah, Hibiki's drooling.]

Aqua finally found them and waved as she walked over.

"I'm glad I found you before it got cold," she said. "Any place you want to set this down?"

"There's a park bench just over here," said Hibiki, pointing out the bench. "We can eat here."

Kanade was, admittedly, a little surprised by seeing someone randomly drop in... for lunch, no less. But, time with Hibiki teaches one to take things in stride. "You must be the Aqua that Hibiki mentioned, then? I'm Kanade Minamino. Nice to meet you," she started, smiling.

"Yes," she answered. "It's nice to meet you."

They made their way to the bench, and Aqua unloaded her basket. "I wasn't sure what you might like, so I got a little of different things. There's some saganaki, tzatziki sauce, pita, and some lamb skewers to make gyros, some chicken souvlaki, some stuffed peppers and cabbage rolls, and for dessert, loukoumades and baklava."

"Oh wow, it's like a feast than simply lunch!" Hibiki was practically drooling as she picked up some pita and uncapped the tzatziki sauce. "Oh it's time to dig in!"

Okay, she had to be fair here: Hibiki was definitely right to be excited. "I think you overdid it...! This is a lot... not that we won't eat it," she couldn't help but add, eyeing the stuffed peppers.

"It's no trouble at all," Aqua insisted. "I'm participating in the games, and they like to feed their competitors well."

"Well time to eat then!" Exclaimed Hibiki, dipping the pita and taking a bite. "Oh it's good!"

Kanade liked to think she had a little more decorum, and as she reached for a pepper, she glanced up at Aqua, confused. "The games? What kind of games feed competitors Greek food...?" After a moment's munch: "Ooh, this is good. Must be some games."

"It's some kind of fighting competition," Aqua explained. "One of my friends ended up as the champion, so I'm hoping that if I compete, I'll run into him again."

"Oh?" inquired Hibiki, her mouth half full. She swallowed and asked, "What kind of person is he?"

Kanade opened her mouth to add another question, but realized she'd be asking the same thing anyway, shaking her head faintly with a slight smile, and returning to lunch.

"Well, Terra's a little..." She hesitated, trying to think of the best term, "intense, at times. He's dedicated and knows what he wants, but he's stubborn. He'll keep going at a problem headfirst from the same angle, even if it's not working. But he's passionate and really devoted to his friends. But I'm starting to worry that maybe he's going astray. I want to be sure that's not the case."

"One of those stubborn types huh? I guess there's one in every circle of friends." And we all know who that is here, huh Hibiki? She makes due and stuffs a bakalava into her mouth.

"Yes, Hibiki. There certainly is." Kanade can't help but roll her eyes at her partner's comment, also making sure to grab something for dessert before Hibiki takes everything.

"Good luck to you, Aqua. Someone like that will be hard to get through to, I think, but..." She trails off, unsure how to finish, before shaking her head. "You should be okay."

"He is," Aqua had to agree. "And thank you."

"Yeah, people like that need help to stay in line." Oh Hibiki, just keep eating and nod your head.

"In my personal experience," Kanade adds with a glance over at her partner, "the easiest way is to talk it out first. But sometimes, if your friend is a physical kind of person, you have to force them to listen first."

She looks over at Aqua, frowning a little. "Are you going to be okay doing that? I'm not sure you have the right build for it."

"Well, I'm a lot stronger than I look," she admitted. "But I really don't want to fight him if I can avoid it."

Hibiki gave Aqua a glance, and smiled a little. "You could probably beat him anyhow. Considering everything."

"That's true," Kanade conceded. "Better not to have to fight him, considering he's your friend. But if it comes to that, you have to trust in your own strength. To someone like that, power is all that matters."

She sighs, thinking on it some more. "Greek food from a fighting competition... it's almost like you're a gladiator."

"It's not something that extreme," Aqua insisted. "But it is some kind of games from all over the world to determine the strongest fighter. Everyone walks out of there okay."

"Well that's good. No sense beating up each other until you can't walk." remarked Hibiki, shaking her head. "But it sounds fun!"
